Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated elementary principal who embodies the core values of honesty, collaboration, effective communication, and coaching. Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensures a productive learning environment through continual collaboration with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating honesty, integrity, and ethical decision-making in all aspects of school leadership.
  • Foster a collaborative culture among staff, students, parents, and the wider community.
    Encourage teamwork and collective problem-solving to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Communicate openly, honestly, and effectively with all stakeholders, including staff, students, parents, and community members.
  • Facilitates opportunities to connect with students by being present and available during arrival and dismissal, by appearing at school functions, and by meeting with students.
  • Enforces disciplinary policies and procedures with students.
  • Participates in parent meetings and conferences and acts as intermediary between parents, teachers, and students to deal with a variety of needs or issues.
  • Maintains competency and student academic achievement as prescribed by the school board.
  • Presides over staff meetings.
  • Ensures completion of routine and required paperwork including attendance reports, test results, and licensing information for students, educators, staff, and school management.
  • Ensures that necessary maintenance and repairs to the school property are performed.
  • Coordinates staff development for faculty and staff; provides instruction if needed.
  • Oversees the allocation of supplies and equipment.
  • Oversees and implements the school budget, approving new programs and expenditures as appropriate.
  • Represents the school in community activities and meetings.
  • Interacts with various stakeholders to foster a positive relationship between the school and community.
  • Acts as liaison between the district and the school; communicates needs and information to both sides.
  • Collaborates with other principals and educators throughout the district to choose and develop curriculum and textbooks that align with local, state, and national standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT and Salary:

The salary range for the position is: Min $114,381 – Max $125,540 Salary placement will be at step 1 on the appropriate scale for the position. Previous relevant verified experience may result in higher step placement.

 

 

A typical work year consists of 210 days which includes 11 holidays. . Each employee shall accumulate twelve (12) days of sick leave per year. An employee employed less than a full work year shall be entitled to a proportionate part of the sick leave allowance. A maximum of three (3) days of annual leave are provided for all employees based on the employee’s scheduled employment hours per day to be used for an absence during work hours, or to be accumulated for the purpose of cash out. 

 

Employees anticipated to work more than 630 hours per year will be eligible for Benefits through the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) Standard benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Long-Term Disability. Positions anticipated to work 70 hours or more per month for at least 5 months over a 12-month period are eligible for Retirement through the State Department of Retirement Services.
