•  Looking for energetic individuals to join our classified sub team. We are in need of subs for para's, ELC assistant teachers, bus drivers, kitchen staff, secretaries and custodians. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• H.S. diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with middle school students preferred.
• Knowledge of special education disabilities preferred.
• Must have the ability to keep accurate daily records and communicate clearly with teachers
• Must be consistent, positive, and fair in dealing with students.
• Must be flexible with daily schedule.
• Ability to work as a member of the building team.

Mental Demands

May experience frequent interruptions; may be required to shift tasks and priorities; required to deal with a wide range of student behaviors and academic abilities; may occasionally deal with distraught or difficult students.

Physical Demands

Potentially exposed to ordinary infectious diseases carried by students; exposed to student noise levels. Required to work outdoors in inclement weather; required to stand for prolonged periods; required to hold equipment in proper position for varying lengths of time, change diapers, and/or crawl on floor, sometimes required to move heavy objects  (frequently lift and/or move up to 25lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs); may occasionally be exposed to recklessly operated vehicles.

The Salary Range for the paraeducator is Min $17.21 – Max $17.21 per hour. Substitutes will accrue 1 hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked.  Substitutes who work 630 hours will become benefit eligible for the remainder of the school year.  Standard benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability.
